Today I write to you to let you know that there is now a place for parents of youth (any age) to get help with a variety of challenges while raising their children, teens and young adults.

Please take a few minutes out of your day to think about possible referrals you can make to a family who may be struggling with typical and atypical challenges. The range can be from families feeling that their children are not compliant or respectful to parents worrying about a teen’s behavior and whether it’s normal and healthy or something they should intervene with. Maybe you know a parent who is negative or begging and nagging for compliance. They are not sure what to do when finding that their teen has been acting out or using self-destructive behaviors. Maybe their 8-yearold is reverting to baby talk after a younger sibling was born. Where can these issues get worked on? Who can help these families?

I am happy to provide sessions with parents alone or have family meetings to address concerns and teach the importance of good communication while working together on healthy dynamics in the family. This service is flexible, honors parents and children and looks at the BIG PICTURE of needs, long term relationships between parents and kids, as well as a host of other aspects of family life.
